Backend, APIs and databases

Behind every application is server logic that has to fit your processes. We build APIs, background jobs and databases, and bring your existing data along.

What we build

What runs in the background so that the interface and your processes work reliably.

Custom APIs

For partners, your own applications or other systems, with access keys and webhooks.

Third-party integrations

Shopify, email delivery and public data sources, for example official recall lists from the EU, the US, the UK and Canada.

Background jobs

Scheduled syncs and long tasks that run in the background and are retried on errors.

Documents

PDF reports and quotes, CSV import and export for exchanging data with other software.

Data model and database

Plan the structure, set up the database and evolve it safely with migrations, also for large datasets.

Data migration

Check, clean and import your existing data from Excel or CSV.

Typical starting points

  • Data is spread across spreadsheets and should be searchable in one place.
  • A partner or customer should be able to fetch or send data automatically.
  • A recurring comparison is still done by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Which database do you use?

That depends on data volume and access patterns. For many applications SQLite is the best choice: fast, easy to back up and no separate database server.

Can you connect to our existing software?

If it offers an API or a data export, yes. We check this beforehand based on its documentation.

What happens to our data during migration?

We check it for duplicates and gaps first and show you the result before the new application works with it.

Planning an application?

Describe your project in a few sentences. You will get a personal reply and, if it is a fit, a time for a first call.
