Our own Shopify app for the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). It manages the details required by Article 19 for every product in a store, shows them on the product page and reports what is still missing.

Starting point
Since December 2024 the GPSR requires online shops to show the manufacturer, an EU responsible person where needed, product identification and safety warnings for every product. Shopify has no built-in fields for this. Merchants with hundreds of products would otherwise maintain it product by product.
Solution
In EuKlar, merchants create manufacturers and partners once and assign them to many products in one step, by collection, vendor, product type or automatically by rule. A theme block shows the details on the product page in the visitor’s language. A report shows what is missing for each product.

Under the hood
- Bulk updates through Shopify’s bulk API: assigning 1,000 products in 40 instead of 101 seconds, CSV import in 19 instead of 67 seconds (measured in October 2026).
- More than 120 automated tests, plus checks in a real browser for accessibility and rendering at large text sizes.
- Interface in German and English, following the language of the Shopify admin.
- Runs on our own servers in Germany and implements Shopify’s privacy webhooks.
